CALL for SYMPOSIA
Submission deadline: December 10, 2021
Symposia should encompass topics related to clinical practice, basic science or mechanisms, and translational research related to pain and ideally presentations include multiple disciplines (e.g., including two or more presentations representing one or both clinical and/or basic science disciplines). Applications typically have 3 speakers, and should justify the number of speakers if deviating from this number. Ideally the panel represents different institutions and span perspectives, including career stage, disciplines, and translation.
The application should be 400 words or less and include the session title, the name of the presenters, titles of the talks, and, separately from the word limit, 2-3 objectives for each presentation (this is required for CME credit). Applicants should also include a two to three sentence (no more) explanation for why their symposium should be included in the 2022 meeting. Also describe how much time you will devote to Q/A with audience participation and how you will engage the audience.
These symposia sessions will last about 90 minutes and are strongly encouraged to be interactive between the other presenters and attendees whenever possible. A moderator (typically identified from the presenters) should be prepared with follow-up questions for the presenters and the audience in order to stimulate audience and presenter participation during a Q&A session.
