Updated Essentials of Primary Care Pain Management Sunday, April 14 from 8:00- 3:30 pm Organizers: Brett Stacey, MD (University of Washington) and Scott Fishman MD (University of California, Davis) Updated Essentials of Primary Care Pain Management is a one-day course offered for physicians, NP/PAs, and other clinicians interested in education by expert faculty regarding the management of patients with complex pain conditions. The course will target pressing topics related to pain management with didactic presentations and in-person discussion and demonstration sessions. The learner objectives include understanding effective evaluation and diagnosis of the patient in pain as well as implementation of evidence-based treatment options for pain. This program will offer CMEs for eligible participants. Joint Accreditation Statement In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Amedco LLC and UC DavisHealthCenter for Advancing Pain Relief. Amedco LLC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. Optimizing Mentorship to Ensure a Bright Future for Pain Research Sunday, April 14, from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Mentorship is critical to the success, persistence, and satisfaction of trainees and early career investigators. In pain We will address the following topics. Each topic will include active learning experiences, including polls, case scenarios, role plays, etc.
The intended audience includes early and mid-career faculty who are actively engaged in mentoring (or want to be) and are interested in optimizing their mentoring relationships.
